The vision statement is a broad view of what we feel God wants to accomplish through us to build His Kingdom. However, behind the Vision Statement is a mission and more details as to how we will accomplish the vision. If you take the Vision Statement apart, you will be able to understand the thrust of our vision for this church:

“To build a dynamic”: This expresses the fact that we intend to grow, not relying only on transferring members from other churches, but to build through new conversions, which adds to the dynamism of a church. This dynamism is not something fake or conjured up but real because of the excitement received when involved in the service of the Lord.

“Multi-cultural church”: Although one particular ethnic group might be more in number, our vision is to create a church that has a worshiping spirit which ministers to more than one ethnicity. This means that our ministry, songs, and testimonies must be sensitive to more than one race of people. We want each member to feel comfortable witnessing to all races and to bring their friends without worrying that they will feel awkward in our church.

“Through discipleship”: We want to build this church not by enticing people to our wonderful programs but by disciplining them to Christ! We want everyone who comes to have a relationship with Christ. Discipleship involves teaching the life of Christ and the principles laid down by Jesus in order to be His follower. Discipleship involves denying oneself: that means bearing a cross. We won’t promise you a bed of ease, but we will teach you what it means to be His disciple. This will be through bible studies, prayer services, cell groups, and preaching.

“Our focus is on healing and repairing lives”: As Jesus embarked on his ministry, he recognized the condition of the people he was to minister to: “the poor, brokenhearted, captives, blind and bruised” (Luke 4:18). Our vision is to bring about wholeness in our trichotomy (body - soul - spirit). There is a whole generation of hurting people who are trying to fake their way through life, but inside they are dying.
